"Aportando Valor al CO2" congress

Madrid, Spain – 2nd and 3rd October 2019

FReSMe was presented as a flagship project at "Aportando Valor al CO2" (adding value to CO2) congress organised by the Spanish CO2 Technology Platform (PTECO2) and SusChem Spain, the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry.

The 3rd edition of "Aportando Valor al CO2" (adding value to CO2) congress took place at Repsol’s Technology Lab in Madrid at the beginning of October. The main goal of the congress was to offer a global view of the different aspects involved in CO2 valorisation technologies, from their fundamentals to their applications in the market. In this context, the latest experiences and results of the most innovative projects involved in the different uses for CO2 around Europe were presented and analysed. David Cuesta, coordinator of the FReSMe project, presented the latest results of the project and discussed about those thermal and catalytic processes that will lead to the decarbonization of our planet.

During the congress, industry experts, technological institutes, universities and research centres addressed topics such as industrial applications of captured CO2, electrochemical valorization of CO2, new materials and polymers from CO2 processes, (photo)catalytic processes and thermal processes.

All the information presented at the congress has been summarised in the following book (press here to download it – only available in Spanish!), and the FREsMe presentation can be accessed by pressing here (only in Spanish, sorry for the inconvenience!).

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 727504.
